I don't expect you to like it, but your response strikes me as ironic. How could it take a gift from the Father to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God if it doesn't take a gift from the Father to acquire saving faith? Isn't that what you're implying? Didn't even the demons recognize Christ as God?

I enjoy Cal Thomas, but let him stick to column writing. A Bible student he is not.
How anyone can equate the Father's revealing to Peter who Jesus is and the gift of saving faith is more than a body can stand.
